supper @ coconut house

just in case you do not know, coconut house is now open till late for supper! actually, for quite some time already. i guess it's the latest trend in melbourne.. more and more restaurants are opening till late for supper! good for people like me. hee :)

curry mee. back in kl i will never order this one because i have my lou shu fun! *sigh* but over here i don't have a choice, so i shall live with it and suck up that bowl of curry mee :P.. i would say that the quality is alright, or maybe it's just me who thinks all curry mee are the same! normally they have eggplant in the noodle, but i assume they ran out of eggplant so i didn't get to eat it!! pifttt :|

grace is going back to kl for good.. she's spending her last aussie-moments before heading back for the usual work-routine!

i had to go home to get my passport to enter crown casino..

all of them signed up for the signature card by crown which comes with a free $5 voucher. so grace took her lucky $5, exchanged for 2 $2.50 chips and headed to the roulette table..

it's her lucky $5!! she wanted to place the bet on number 21, but she hesitated and thought of observing for a while more. few seconds later, the ball hit on the number 21!!! omg wasted. so the following round she quickly placed $2.50 on number 21 and gave me a chance to pick a number as well. of course i'll pick my lucky number 25!! my birthday! :D

AND THE BALL DROPPED ON NUMBER 25 OMGWTF! grace won $80+ with her lucky $5!!! just like that!! hehehee... and she treated all of us cakes!! yummm... xie xie grace!

dinner @ old town kopitiam mamak, QV

grace, saihou, nick and ashley were here last weekend till yesterday. initially, everyone thought of going for steamboat but ended up eating malaysian food instead.

i've always been wanting to blog about their nasi kandar. that black stuff in the picture above is the eggplant, just in case you can't tell which one is it... i'm an avid eggplant lover. hee heee :))

grace ordered roti planta and she likes it! i'll try it next time.. but then again it costs about 4-5 aud for it. maybe i should go to murni instead. next month... :P

char kueh kak. not nice. don't order. HAHAHA. (:

grace, sai hou, nick and nick's gf, ashley visited melbourne for the a few days. it has been a while since i went out with them.. good to catch up once in a while? :) i did not join them for visiting, just brought them around for food. i'll post the pictures once i'm done resizing them.

meanwhile, jerine was here for less than a day and now she's enjoying herself at tassie!! *cough* enjoying *cough*.

previously, i was thinking of getting this eye primer ever since jerine mentioned it in her blog post. but bie bought it for me and it arrived in my mailbox two days ago!! surprise!! thank u biebieee~

jerine bought me a box of cupcake lipgloss!! omg i've been hesitating to buy and ended up not buying because i felt i don't have the need to own it!! now, i'm the owner of these cute lil cupcakes!! *giggles*

ahhh. i feel so blessed. all i want to say is... THANK YOU!!

i dislike accounts

i never like accounts, in fact, i never understood how it works. maybe, just the basic stuff. this subject that i'm taking has no requirements, which attracted my attention.

i have zero clue of what's happening when it first started, forced myself to understand and get through with this. this subject obviously requires basic accounting knowledge, therefore, the "no requirement" thing is sooo misleading i swear. until today i still don't get a few terms lolss.. thank goodness the final week is coming and i'm DONE and over with this semester (excluding final exam).

i can't wait to go back to malaysia. my neighbours in malaysia are much nicer than that crap staying next door. :|

harassment, what?

why do i have such neighbours FFS.

earlier today i bumped into the woman staying in that unit, so i told her to pass a message to that fella, who promised to pass me some letter to pass it to my uncle. no news. she was so damn rude okay. she went into the lift, immediately spoke to the person and IGNORED me when i was still talking.

later on i knocked and inform the man that i have the account details (previously he was SCARED to TT the money to the wrong account). i'm just too lazy to draft the entire convo. in short, he refused to pay if there is no invoice number. when i asked why is there a need for the invoice, he told me it's between him and the owner (my uncle). ERR wtf. this is a joke seriously.

like. seriously. what. the. f.

renting a car space in a residential building requires us to send you an invoice? are you stupid or what? you PERSONALLY asked to rent, therefore you have to settle the payment PERSONALLY. not using the company's whatever money. even so, you don't have a reason to delay the payment! it is a few thousand dollars, not a few dollars. he accumulated the amount for a year. he DID NOT pay a single cent. DID NOT! if he really needs to claim from the company, that's between him and the company, totally not our fault if there is no invoice number given to him.

this isn't the worst yet.

the stupid woman standing behind him claimed that i HARASSED HER! LOL! i only told her to pass him the message, that's what HE PROMISED! in fact, i was talking to the man, and she interrupted! she claimed that i was harassing her, she didn't know who am i, blah blah and all her nonsensical so-called theories. she threatened to call the securities to get me off the building, CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT? she knows i'm staying right next to her unit, is she stupid or what? she has no rights to send me off the building. at that time i was standing OUTSIDE their unit, the corridor, that piece of tile is not even their property. she thinks she is the one and ONLY resident in the building. FFS, your grandfather own the tower is it?

the man was not as rude as the wife. but that doesn't make him any better. fine, i WON'T ever knock on his door anymore. this is the reason why law exists. once i'm done with gathering the evidence, i will proceed to look for a solicitor. not only that, i'm going to the management to lodge a complain of the people staying in this unit. try to send me off? you wish. just because you're staying next to me doesn't mean i have to be nice to you. i have my limits and you crossed the borderline. just because i'm a foreigner and i don't know much doesn't make you the winner in the game. i will make sure that your thick skull will accept the fact that nothing is free. you rent, you pay.

GEEZ it's a disgrace to have such neighbours man.

memories

i went through the files in my hard disk and i found a few pictures. both were taken two years ago. it was the usual family gathering at yee poh's house...

rather that just "routine" i would say that this is always the time where everyone gather for family bonding session. everyone's busy and the best time to gather us all together is during chinese festivals.

be it chinese new year, mooncake festival or dong zhi. this is where we gather.

but... our gatherings won't be the same anymore. yeepoh and yeegong had already left us earlier this year, but i'm pretty sure they'll be in our hearts for each and every single upcoming gathering.

no more flinders kfc

ok. i'm going to complain again. this time it's not about my stupid neighbour. see the chicken? yeshh.. it's KFC. i enjoy kfc in australia, especially the all stars box because it has everything inside - one piece original chicken, 2 pieces wicked wings, 1 small box of popcorn chicken, 1 piece of chicken strips, fries, bun, potato mashie and it comes with a drink.

usually, they won't give the chicken wing as the "one piece original chicken" because there are two pieces of wicked wings in that box. guess what? the chicken wing is SO FRIGGIN SMALL PIECE. like wtf, this is the smallest piece i've ever seen. i mean, in australia, please don't tell me how small is malaysia's because i don't care. i'm in aussie now.

apart from that ugly broken nail of mine, notice how SMALL that piece of chicken is!! it's almost the same size as the wicked wings i got wtf!

and the cup of drink is not even full!!!

also, my box did not come with the chicken strips. SO ANGRY CAN. it wasn't me who bought it, or else i would've shot that fella down right on the spot at KFC. i won't blame him for not checking because he had to carry too many things and it was already all boxed up.

i wanted the large coleslaw as well, but they don't have the large. and they did not want to give 3-4 regulars as a large instead. normally QV's KFC do that, so nice of them. flinders KFC suck max can. lousy service. in fact this wasn't the first time they "forgot" to give me my stuff. last year, they forgot to give me my bag of coleslaw. last month they forgot to put the mashie into the all stars box. it's KFC FLINDERS STREET i'm talking about.

i called KFC flinders and complained to the manager. HA! better watch out if you meet people like me. i'm not demanding, i just expect decent quality of food there to fulfil my stomach. and all they gave me was anger! ok lah, the popcorn chicken still can make it through.

next time, if you wanna buy kfc please do not go to the one at flinders. go to QV. their service is WAY better. *supports QV kfc*

stupid neighbour part 2

and so.. things are getting more and more complicated. if you have no idea what i'm talking about, you may wanna click on this before proceeding.

i checked my mailbox, other than my things that i've bought from ebay, i see nothing else.

i knocked on his door, AGAIN.

hi, i did not receive your cheque yet. (I GAVE YOU 5 DAYS, more than enough to draw his own face on that piece of cheque!)

"errr yeah.. i will give you a letter with the ABN number..."

actually i prefer the cheque. (what? why must he give me a letter with ABN for?)

"well, i sent 2 emails to J* regarding this matter.. i prefer my company to pay it."

i know, but i think you can just pass me the cheque, it's easier for me. (I DEMAND THAT PIECE OF CHEQUE LAH, WHICH PART OF MY SENTENCE IS HARD TO DIGEST WADAFAKS!!! slaps this fella x1000000!!!)

"i cannot write you the cheque because my company doesn't have a cheque book"

oh. (omg EXCUSES again!! then why did you promise to write one in the morning zzzz.)

"you see... once i get the details i'll TT to him... " *yadda yadda about his ABN crap, email to J*, letter, etc which i didn't bother to listen*

uh.......... oh....... ok then. (you ALREADY have the details what the heck are u talking about!!!)

i shall wait for that letter of yours... the wait has already accumulated for more than a year. i wonder when will he pass me the letter. *rolleyes*

rent 1 car space costs approximately 200 aud per month. like that also wanna "liok" company's money. wtfuxxxxx.. apparently i had problems with my car space last year, so had a look on the floor plan for the car spaces before. his unit has TWO FRIGGIN CAR SPACES!!! and he needed THREE of it. got money to buy car, but kiamsap like hell, car spaces also don't want to pay. so cheapskate.

now i'm thinking whether i should waste my time on this asshole or not. psh.

when your neighbour is an ass...

sometimes, neighbours can be a pain in the ass. if you're lucky enough, you'll get really nice neighbours - that's IF you're lucky.

unfortunately, i'm not that lucky. i won't classify my problem as a usual problem. my neighbour doesn't blast out music like a mad man to annoy people on the same floor. they practically live in the world of their own - so do i. lols, there was just ONCE, where someone on the same floor left rather white-ish footprints right outside my unit because the rubbish chute is just right in front of my door. no idea who that was BUT that's not the main point.

i'm going to bitch and bitch about my asshole neighbour. apparently my neighbour is a doctor. doctors in australia earn big bucks. correct me if i'm wrong? even if he doesn't, he definitely earn enough for decent living. it all happened 3-4 years ago, when i was in melbourne for the first or second time for vacation. i stayed there and he came knocking on the door.

"hi, is the owner home?"

errr. no. is there anything urgent?

"oh alright, i noticed that your car space is always empty, so i thought of renting it."

right, i'll let him know.

"here, i have a letter for the owner. maybe you can pass it to him instead."

so, he rented the car space for months, or was it a year or so. guess what? he did not pay a single cent. he took advantage because nobody is in the apartment, nobody's going to ask him to pay, hence, avoid contacts, refused to respond. so, my cousin flew from tasmania to melbourne, and got this issue settled - as in, informing the concierge about the car space problem and it should be empty and not occupied. payment is definitely going into the bad debts account. this happened 2 years ago if i'm not wrong.

last year when i came to melbourne, i rented the car space TWICE already. since april or was it may. last week, when i left the house, i bumped into the same man who requested to rent the car space. i did not say hi to him or greet him like i usually do to any other people who stays in the same building. i don't see a reason to be nice to this person.

he actually has the guts to initiated and asked if i knew the owner.

"because i owe him some rent."

oh alright. you can write a cheque and pass it to me. (wth, now only remember?)

"well, i prefer to TT him the money but i am not sure if the account details are correct. i sent 2 mails to his secretary but she did not respond."

oh really? i'll call her to reconfirm. (zzzz... TT what lah.. if really wanna pay just pass me the cheque lah! grrr)

"right, thanks. i just don't want to transfer to the wrong account..."

okie, sure. (grrrr... this proves that you never make any payment before. zzzz)

i asked auntie J*(his secretary), apparently there were no emails from him. i was quite pissed that moment, wasting my bloody time and money. so i went to his unit and knocked on his door.

hi, i just wanna let you know that his secretary did not receive anything from you. can you just write the cheque and pass it to me? (ok i know i'm quite desperate, then again, it's HIS fault for creating stories!)

"well.. er, i did send the emails and she did not respond..."

ok i don't know what happened in between but you can pay me cash or cheque, either ways. (it's SO OBVIOUS THAT YOU'RE LYING!! when i keep quiet it doesn't mean i don't know.)

"i can't write you the cheque now. i'll do that in the morning. what time will you be around?"

i'm quite busy lately, i might not be around in the evening. you can either slip the cheque into my mailbox or down my door if you can't get me. (writing a cheque won't take long. just go in and write me a cheque lah!!!)

"alright..."

3 days already and still NO cheque.

i have a lot of questions actually.

why make payment only after a year?
why only initiate to pay when he bumped into me face-to-face?
why promise to make the payment but never make the actual payment?
why lie about sending the emails?
why didn't he TT the money long long time ago?
why must he act like he's so damn holy?

i'm going to knock on his door again if he doesn't pay by tonight. i think one week is enough for him to write the cheque. one hour one alphabet. fair enough? i think it's more than too much to owe a year's rental without paying. you think what? bank is it? bank also need to charge interest. should have charged him interest for delaying the rental for so long. stupid doctor. slap him. grrr!

i really HATE it when people don't keep their words. grrRRrrrrr!!

phobia

it was about 8pm when i left the class after finishing the class test. so, i went to the asian grocery to grab some stuff. i grabbed the basket, threw some stuff into it and kept walking and walking till i bumped into someone, no wait, something, which i haven't seen in ages. like AGES.

guess what??

COCKROACH.

A BIG FAT COCKROACH RUNNING TOWARDS ME WTF.

..and of course i'll RUN lor. like 4-5 steps away, really FAST. the worker saw and stepped on it immediately. one old chinese man actually SPOTTED me running away from it and it was LAUGHING AWAY!! omg so embarrassing can.

sigh!! what to do, i'm totally phobia of cockroachs. big cockroach, small cockroach, dead cockroach, fake cockroach OR EVEN PICTURES.... is more than enough to drive me insane.

why do they even exist in the first place!!! DIE COCKROACH, DIE!!!
