i never knew the existence of sushi burger until a friend told me about it. what's worst... he's not even staying in melbourne. wtf! i feel so noob. so i've decided to pay a visit to try.. it's in CBD actually. exhibition street.

it was closed the first time i went there. fail. but i will go back to try regardless. and i did! i tried a few different burgers.

soft shell crab burger, it's really cripsy. unlike certain restaurants who calls it soft shell crab but it's hard. anyways, i like this burger.

spicy salmon burger is my favourite. i've always liked spicy salmon. the best thing is the raw salmon is so fresh and they are not the kiamsap type that gives thinly sliced salmon or just that little bit. i like!

ebi mayo burger. crispy too! yummm.

teriyaki chicken burger. ah bie ordered this one and no i didn't try it because it doesn't look appealing to me. also, i'm not a fan of chicken. maybe you should try it and tell me. :)

i also tried the hamburg burger and i don't find that one nice probably because it's cold already. i'm lurvin' sushi burger! i'm going to drag shikin along to try~

ah.. i finally transferred the pictures from my phone after ages. so these pictures were taken when we went to margo's at the crown casino for supper. to be honest, margo's is a waste of time and money.

fried squid with fries. the squid is so oily, and the fried is too skinny and tasteless.

i don't know how did they screw up the carbonara, but they did. it's wayyyyy too cheesy. the entire plate smells of cheese, that's all. i can taste nothing, not even the bacon. just cheese. i know some might love cheese a lot, even i love cheese. but cheese overdosed is not exactly what i'm looking for.

to conclude, please do not ever go to margo's. if you insist, then do not order these two dishes. u'll regret for hell sure.

i'm in love with macaroons. not every bakery offers macaroons, and the cupcake family at QV sells em'.

so cute that i didn't feel like eating all of them. but i rather eat them up than feeding the ants. ah... ants.. you know what? totally reminds me of how they infested jerine's cupcakes.. hahahahaa!!

we had about 4 hours before our flight. instead of stoning at the airport, we might as well grab a cup of coffee first before heading to the airport.

we picked the coffee club at cavil ave. their food looks good, should've tried their breakfast instead of subway -_-!!

that's about it. we went to the airport after that to catch our flight back to melbourne. tiger airways as usual, delayed their flight again.

ok my trip is coming to an end. it was our third day, and we were supposed to be heading to dream world, according to our initial plan. but there is no point wasting another $60 if i'm not going for the thrill rides. movie world is different, yes it's $73 for the entrance but the difference is there are a lot of shows inside. so it's still worth paying for the live shows and some other rides. :) also, i don't think i should go for the water rides. gold coast is not that hot till i can play water games yet. either that, or i'm just too weak. :(

so anyway, lye yee and keng yih proceeded with the initial plan and went to dream world. whereas, the three of us went for great food and walked around for a bit. we went to the lazy lobster at marine parade for lunch. again, we found the place with the help of GPS. :)

peoples choice award best seafood restaurant, that's what i saw online too. so why not give it a shot? i haven't had anything really good ever since i came to gold coast.

the entree. prawn cocktail. finally, fresh prawns! unlike the disappointment at seafood empire and o'malley's (cavil ave), the lazy lobster is really promising.

ah bie ordered half lobster for his main. i like the lobster, but no i don't like the rice. funny how they don't go together well. i'd rather opt for chips.

tengliang and i ordered seafood basket. yes it's fresh! so the basket comes with scallops, prawns, fish cutlets, calamaris and fries. not forgetting the tar tar sauce. please, seafood empire CHARGES for tartar sauce. the lazy lobster included it in the meal and it's refillable too. :) actually the main point isn't the tartar sauce, it is the freshness of the seafood. if the seafood is not fresh, no matter how you cook it, it won't be nice. that's what i feel.

we walked around at marine parade before heading to the harbour town. i should've rented an apartment over here instead of surfers paradise. this place is much more relaxing compared to the surfers paradise -__-!!
