when your neighbour is an ass...
sometimes, neighbours can be a pain in the ass. if you're lucky enough, you'll get really nice neighbours - that's IF you're lucky.
unfortunately, i'm not that lucky. i won't classify my problem as a usual problem. my neighbour doesn't blast out music like a mad man to annoy people on the same floor. they practically live in the world of their own - so do i. lols, there was just ONCE, where someone on the same floor left rather white-ish footprints right outside my unit because the rubbish chute is just right in front of my door. no idea who that was BUT that's not the main point.
i'm going to bitch and bitch about my asshole neighbour. apparently my neighbour is a doctor. doctors in australia earn big bucks. correct me if i'm wrong? even if he doesn't, he definitely earn enough for decent living. it all happened 3-4 years ago, when i was in melbourne for the first or second time for vacation. i stayed there and he came knocking on the door.

errr. no. is there anything urgent?
"oh alright, i noticed that your car space is always empty, so i thought of renting it."
right, i'll let him know.
"here, i have a letter for the owner. maybe you can pass it to him instead."

so, he rented the car space for months, or was it a year or so. guess what? he did not pay a single cent. he took advantage because nobody is in the apartment, nobody's going to ask him to pay, hence, avoid contacts, refused to respond. so, my cousin flew from tasmania to melbourne, and got this issue settled - as in, informing the concierge about the car space problem and it should be empty and not occupied. payment is definitely going into the bad debts account. this happened 2 years ago if i'm not wrong.
last year when i came to melbourne, i rented the car space TWICE already. since april or was it may. last week, when i left the house, i bumped into the same man who requested to rent the car space. i did not say hi to him or greet him like i usually do to any other people who stays in the same building. i don't see a reason to be nice to this person.
he actually has the guts to initiated and asked if i knew the owner.

oh alright. you can write a cheque and pass it to me. (wth, now only remember?)
"well, i prefer to TT him the money but i am not sure if the account details are correct. i sent 2 mails to his secretary but she did not respond."
oh really? i'll call her to reconfirm. (zzzz... TT what lah.. if really wanna pay just pass me the cheque lah! grrr)
"right, thanks. i just don't want to transfer to the wrong account..."
okie, sure. (grrrr... this proves that you never make any payment before. zzzz)

i asked auntie J*(his secretary), apparently there were no emails from him. i was quite pissed that moment, wasting my bloody time and money. so i went to his unit and knocked on his door.

hi, i just wanna let you know that his secretary did not receive anything from you. can you just write the cheque and pass it to me? (ok i know i'm quite desperate, then again, it's HIS fault for creating stories!)
"well.. er, i did send the emails and she did not respond..."
ok i don't know what happened in between but you can pay me cash or cheque, either ways. (it's SO OBVIOUS THAT YOU'RE LYING!! when i keep quiet it doesn't mean i don't know.)
"i can't write you the cheque now. i'll do that in the morning. what time will you be around?"
i'm quite busy lately, i might not be around in the evening. you can either slip the cheque into my mailbox or down my door if you can't get me. (writing a cheque won't take long. just go in and write me a cheque lah!!!)

3 days already and still NO cheque.
i have a lot of questions actually.
- why make payment only after a year?
- why only initiate to pay when he bumped into me face-to-face?
- why promise to make the payment but never make the actual payment?
- why lie about sending the emails?
- why didn't he TT the money long long time ago?
- why must he act like he's so damn holy?
i'm going to knock on his door again if he doesn't pay by tonight. i think one week is enough for him to write the cheque. one hour one alphabet. fair enough? i think it's more than too much to owe a year's rental without paying. you think what? bank is it? bank also need to charge interest. should have charged him interest for delaying the rental for so long. stupid doctor. slap him. grrr!
i really HATE it when people don't keep their words. grrRRrrrrr!!
