after that we went to orchard road to shop. precisely at ion mall, but of course not the branded shops okay. bo lui! again i bought hairbands, brand new zara heels, and some other stuff.

then we went for dinner at sho teppan. rach and i met up with nic and emily first and liyin joined us after that. i like their concept. something different... everything's cooked right in front of us. ingredients were placed in the hot place. can masak-masak. quite fun lah! but i didn't order the fried one, i picked my favourite sukiyaki.

i messed with liyin's dslr, the canon 500d which bie also owns it. the only difference is the lens. i prefer her portrait lens lor! the outcome seems to be a lot nicer :) liyin bought a burberry bag with her own money! so nais. i don't even have a burberry bag to begin with, rofl. okay lah, my aim is to buy myself a burberry bag too. LOL!

sephora in singapore is so huge! i've been checking out sephora online and wanted to buy something there but seems like they don't ship to australia, depressing gila. but when i was there, i couldn't decide which one to buy. SO many things to get from sephora.. but due to time constraint, i only got myself the urbay decay eyeshadow. gosh i have so much more to see!! T_T

back to the hotel after that. actually before we left the room for lunch, rach caught a sight of a cockroach lingering around the fridge but she slammed it hard after noticing it. as for me, i immediately jumped on the chair and screamed. we thought it won't come out as long as we don't open it. later on, after dinner, i sat in front of my computer for my usual stuff and i noticed a cockroach walking RIGHT next to my laptop. this time around i yelled even louder and ran so fast like an olympic runner. LUCKY for us that the cockroach killer miss liyin was here to save the world. after the epic scene, i showered firstly to clean myself and secondly to chill. so i had to dry my hair but i was so tired so i sat down right next to the mirror and i noticed ANOTHER cockroach right below the mirror. triple FML lah!

i immediately called the concierge and reported the problem. i was traumatized by the cockroaches okay. they quickly responded to the problem, changed my room to suite. free upgrade. luckily i didn't see anymore cockroaches. if not i really cannot sleep. previously my room was at level 48 - how the hell did the cockroaches climb up again? well at least we were compensated with a better room plus no more cockroaches. can see fullerton from our room.. not bad.

after that we headed to the casino. the interior design of the casino is much similar to the one at macau. we were not allowed to take photos in the casino, therefore you might have to see it for yourself. i was quite hungry by then, so we did not gamble but went for supper instead.

people usually dress up to go to the casino here in melbourne, like glam i'm talking about. so i'm quite used to it already, just that it doesn't apply to the other casinos like in phillipines, macau or even in singapore. i've never been into the one at genting tsk tsk... also, smoking is prohibited in aussie casinos, which makes it better than the rest of the above stated because i can't stand the second hand smoke. inhaling too much of it made my soar throat gone bad to worst.

so, the picture craze has just started. more in day 2 and 3. it has been a while since i've met liyin - the last time was back in melbourne. steamboat if i'm not wrong. wow... november 2009. 8 months ago?

it was a very random trip to penang. only took 3 days to settle almost everything and off we go!

no worries it's the land of yummy food, so linsey brought us to a foodcourt, northam beach cafe.

great start i would say. makes me feel like eating even more..

i don't know where else i can find good muar chee in penang, cause i think the one at gurney drive is good enough for me~

one thing i hated about this place is the mosquitoes. they attacked me, only ME.

finally... our last day in penang. we went for lunch at joo hooi cafe, penang road.

laksa, my favourite. i asked for more fish (oh yes i'm willing to pay). but the grumpy old man said ahhh a lot of fish already. but the fact is - no fish at all!!! he must be thinking that i'm not paying extra, hence, no fish for you!

then we stopped at ipoh for dinner. the famous ipoh nga choi kai. we picked lou wong.
