it was a very random trip to penang. only took 3 days to settle almost everything and off we go!
we arrived just before dinner time. so hungry!
no worries it's the land of yummy food, so linsey brought us to a foodcourt, northam beach cafe.
great start i would say. makes me feel like eating even more..
char kueh teow. even if you don't like to eat you'll still have to order. it's a must!
loh bak. i like it and i want more~
after dinner, we went to some place near sunway hotel for chee cheong fun.
the following day we went to macalister road for char kueh teow
orh kueh/yam cake
more loh bak
sister's char kueh teow
crab meat!
we went to queensbay mall, walked around for a bit and ended up at coffeebean.
epic middle finger story. ask if personally if you're interested.
linsey is my personal driver for the day. *ahhh i feel so privileged*
so we went to the beach for a while... friggin dirty beach.
empty bottles, shoes, plastic containers, DEAD FISH, you name it
view from my room
our mini-suite
on a saturday night, we went off to batu ferringhi for the best sunset view at sunset bistro
teks and i ;p
"nah.. coconut"
i love candy. hahahahahaa :)
actually we didn't get to see the sunset. it was already dark when we arrived.
then off we go to gurney drive because i wanted to eat muar chee.
i don't know where else i can find good muar chee in penang, cause i think the one at gurney drive is good enough for me~
the bag of pancakes i bought went missing in action. sobsss!
grilled spicy sting ray.. one of my favourite too.
after resting in the room for a bit, we headed to coffee island.
wow, great way to market their food. afterall, world cup is the "in" thing now.
one thing i hated about this place is the mosquitoes. they attacked me, only ME.
brazil world cup set
usa world cup set
i like the cup!
leader sleep outside. hehehehee ;)
finally... our last day in penang. we went for lunch at joo hooi cafe, penang road.
laksa, my favourite. i asked for more fish (oh yes i'm willing to pay). but the grumpy old man said ahhh a lot of fish already. but the fact is - no fish at all!!! he must be thinking that i'm not paying extra, hence, no fish for you!
cendol. without red bean. me no like red bean!
say goodbye to penang. i shall see you again soon. maybe next year or so? :O
then we stopped at ipoh for dinner. the famous ipoh nga choi kai. we picked lou wong.
very crunchy nga choi / bean sprouts
chicken - quite normal i would say.. maybe it's the bean sprouts that is special :)
i enjoyed the trip! very much. thanks to everyone who made this happen, linsey our legit penangkia tourguide. *coughs* blay penangkia fake kl kia *coughs*
