last year, i missed the festival. as in, i cannot wake up for it. so this time i forced myself to wake up~ which is a good thing because i definitely won't be able to make it for the next 3 days. (assignment!). i paid about $15 to enter. remember to bring your student ID!
overview of the farm.
the flowers are slowly dying.. :S
bimbo wore heels to farm. muddy after that FML.
never mind about the heels. but please don't wear heels if you're about to go.
maureen!
we stopped by at tulip cafe for lunch. chicken schnitzel served with mashies and veggie.
their so-called special fries. with loads of sauce and raw onion. not satisfying lunch indeed.
i have a very strong urge to pluck it but of course we're not allowed to. it's for sale at the entrance of the farm. then again, i'm not a fan of flowers. no point spending on something that will die off and goes into the bin right? i'd rather have the money spent on desserts so i can swallow them.
i love this picture for some reason. :D
that's about it! i have close to about 300 shots but i'm only posting a few here. i shall post the rest on facebook. ^^
we paid about $10.60 for today's tram ticket - daily zone 1 and 2. since we will pass by boxhill, why not just stop by and have a quick dinner before heading back to the city. tengliang recommended a taiwanese restaurant. it's called the booth taiwanese gourmet.
minced pork rice with egg - $5.80. quite cheap for this portion, almost impossible to get it in the city.
i know i'm so greedy. i ordered TWO cups. one with pearls and one without. green milk tea and sour plum.
fried chicken
the booth's special noodle. it came with chicken boxing O_O!
the food is much cheaper over here. maybe i should make my way to boxhill during the weekends for cheaper meals if i ever go out. :O oh and by the way, this little booth beats the ten ren in the city. ten ren is more expensive and not as good as little booth. did i not mention i even saw a cockroach before. (the first cockroach i've ever seen in melbourne after staying here for close to 2 years)
ok that's all folks!! to all you people studying in melbourne, if you have never been to this place, please go at least once in your lifetime. the flowers do look good in pictures, but they look even better in real! sunday is the last day of the festival. go go gooooooooooooo!!!!!!
