mom and dad's 23rd anniversary. we had dinner at
ying ker lou hakka restaurant, sunway pyramid. they even included the brief history of hakka in the menu =.=

anyway, i've been eating hakka food for the past 21 years
(i refuse to admit that i'm 22 because i just turned 21). my mom cooks delicious hakka food but i ain't inheriting her skills so far. sigh! lazy bum. no matter how lazy i am, i'm still a pure hakka girl. will learn how to cook, promise.

the yam abacus beads. it tastes like some
kueh. sticky and chewy. XD

hakka noodle~

the hakka
poon choi/pen chai. it's a traditional hakka dish! so many things in the pot, enough to feed five of us. just in case you're wondering what's in the pot - chicken, pork, prawn, veggie, tofu, noodles. try it!

the brown rice. it's kinda hard and dry. i don't really like it but that doesn't mean i won't eat. lol. not gonna waste food ;)

i bought cupcakes for them from
